GBT Technologies Inc. (OTC PINK: GTCH) has announced the launch of PHASE I testing for its long range Infinia radio prototype system. The company’s CTO, Danny Rittman, explained:

"We started PHASE I of our Infinia long range radio system and we are pleased with our initial successful results. PHASE I’s target is to cover large metropolitan areas such as the city of Los Angeles. We are testing voice and data communication between all system's units with the focus on signal clarity, reliability and privacy. The Infinia system is working through sky waves and aimed for long distance audio and data communication. As with every radio system the main challenge is to maintain reliable communication at all times, seasons, and weather conditions, which is a crucial factor in case of emergencies. During our testing, we are evaluating each antenna's position, tuning, and landscape related effects. Our testing plan includes a few stages with the range being gradually increased. We are testing the device for viability with respect to sending health related information in parallel to voice communication over the audio channel. We are encouraged by our initial testing results and investing vast efforts into further assessments and experimentation to optimize best solutions.”

Carestream Health, a global provider of medical imaging systems, has selected Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company (NYSE:HPE) to power “a transformative new healthcare initiative based on artificial intelligence-as-a-service (AIaaS).” Carestream employs HPE GreenLake for Machine Learning Operations (ML Ops) to enhance “X-ray solutions and workflows for medical professionals and patients, facilitating the next generation of AI-enabled imaging devices for medical diagnosis.” Keith White, Senior Vice President and General Manager, HPE GreenLake Cloud Services, commented:

"Our partnership with Carestream, one of the worldwide leaders in the critical medical imaging space, closely aligns with HPE’s vision for innovation from edge-to-cloud, and provides cloud services to achieve outcome-driven digital transformations. It’s been so exciting working with Carestream to develop a scalable, next generation AI as a Service platform that enables their continued leadership in delivering improved patient outcomes and impactful insights to their customers."

Global Military Robots Market to Reach $25.66B in 2027

A report published by Fortune Business Insights finds that the global market for Military Robots will grow from $13.03 billion USD in 2020 to $25.66 billion in 2027 with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.15 percent in the forecast period. The following excerpt from the report’s summary outlines driving factors in the market:

“Integration of technologies such as artificial intelligence, real-time data monitoring, and the Internet of Things (IoT) in military robots has drastically changed modern warfare dynamics. Soldiers’ uncertain threat could be easily identified and monitored through AI-integrated robots on air, ground, and sea platforms. These robots are used to track, record, and perform required counter-attacks on the targets located far away from the soldiers. This is also known as intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) activity through robots.”
