GBT Technologies Inc. (OTC PINK:GTCH) has started researching an external device for arterial and tissue imaging based on its proprietary radio technology, combined with the company's robotic research. The research is part of the Hermes capsule research project, which “targets an intravenous mini-probe unit that travels within the artery, searching to find arterial clogs,” and is “based on radio waves-based imaging to produce a computerized 3D imaging for the operating physician,” according to the press release. Danny Rittman, GBT's CTO, explained:

“The system is intended to be able to differ between tissues, organs and clogging materials as well as identifying tumors, Cysts and other foreign objects. In addition, using the radio technology the system will be able to construct a 3D video imaging of the scanned areas. The probe will be able to be mounted on a robotic arm to hover above designated bodily areas or manually held for more specific area scans. The system will be using GBT's AI technology and we strongly believe that it has the potential to become a key apparatus within surgery rooms and clinics as a physician's "eyes" helping to save lives."

NICE Ltd. (NasdaqGS:NICE) has announced the launch of InterACT, described in the press release as a “new AI-powered recording solution,” that “automates end-to-end recording decisioning processes, dramatically reducing manual configurations, saving time and reducing human error.” Barry Cooper, President, NICE Workforce & Customer Experience Group, explained:

"InterACT redefines how organizations record contact center interactions. By using a cloud architecture, either in the cloud or on-premise, InterACT scales orders of magnitudes higher than anything previously in the market. By using AI, InterACT simplifies set up, allowing users to define what they want to record and automating how to do it. In short, InterACT powers agile, comprehensive recording for compliance and quality while paving the way to the cloud and CXone."

Global AI Market to Reach $309.6B by 2026

A report published by Markets and Markets finds that the global AI market will grow from $58.3 billion in 2021 to $309.6 billion by 2026 with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 39.7 percent in that same forecast period. An excerpt from the report’s description outlines drivers in the market:

Today, AI, including computer vision and ML, is changing the landscape of the robotics industry. To stay ahead in a global market, businesses have started considering fully autonomous robots that can perceive, interact, and conceptualize the world around them. As industries begin to navigate this modern technological revolution, they have started looking for trusted and experienced technology partners. Deep learning models use artificial neural nets for processing large quantities of data, including images, texts, and sounds, for producing accurate results. AI-driven automation has proven useful in various applications across numerous industries, including the aviation, medical, agriculture, energy, and material handling markets. AI is being used not only to automate tasks but also to diagnose equipment malfunctions or detect product anomalies. For instance, within the aviation industry, AI and ML can be used to predict peak travel times, assist with passenger check-in, and automate routine maintenance tasks. AI is being used across the board to automate dangerous tasks, augment or replace skilled labor, and streamline operations. And yet, despite these advances, AI still cannot think abstractly or creatively. This means that there is a need for an ever-evolving workforce that is trained in robotics and advanced manufacturing.
