GBT Technologies Inc. (OTC PINK:GTCH) announced that it has begun a research project,
with the internal name VeriSpeed, to develop a new system and methods to
enhance nanometer Integrated Circuits’ physical verification process. GBT’s CTO
Danny Rittman explained:
"We
are seeking to introduce an intelligent key factor within the IC physical
design and validation process by addressing probably the most significant part
of it, the database processing. An efficient database engine is a key factor
for speed and high performance of the entire physical verification process
including its three main aspects. The DRC, Design Rules Check - Geometrical
Rules, LVS - Layout Versus Schematic, the electrical rules, and DFM - Design
for Manufacturing rules."
Shell (NYSE:RDS-B), C3.ai (NYSE:AI), Baker Hughes Company (NYSE:BKR), and Microsoft (NasdaqGS:MSFT) have announced the launch of the Open AI Energy
Initiative (OAI), described as “a first-of-its-kind open ecosystem of
artificial intelligence (AI)-based solutions for the energy and process
industries.” The OAI aims to “accelerate deployment of AI-based reliability
solutions to unlock significant economic value across the energy industry while
helping to make energy production cleaner, safer, and more efficient.” Uwem
Ukpong, executive vice president of regions, alliances & enterprise sales
at Baker Hughes, commented:
"Taking
energy forward requires new approaches to technology that leverage
collaboration, open data standards, and cutting-edge AI capabilities. Working
alongside our alliance partners at C3 AI and together with industry leaders at
Shell and Microsoft, the OAI will help address the persistent industry
challenge of nonproductive downtime. This new ecosystem will leverage our
strong existing BHC3 portfolio and is a promising step in the digital
transformation of energy."
